So this sweet book is really for everyone. I couldn’t resist taking a sneak peak as soon as it arrived instead of waiting until Dec 1st. The pages are filled with a Bible verse along with quick and easy tips for reclaiming Christmas by focusing on what matters most. I love how the author Tama speaks directly to the reader in such a relatable way - like a conversation over coffee with a dear friend. This book is the perfect compliment to an Advent Calendar, December devotional, or just a quick reminder each day that Jesus is the reason for the season! I’ve never done a Christmas devotional before but thought why not. As an extremely busy mom of two young kids who works outside the home and struggles to feel like I am “enough” during the holiday season, every single reading so far has spoken to me. The devotionals get right to the Geary of things and the suggestions for “Reclaiming Christmas” almost feel like they are giving me permission to cut myself some slack. I am definitely less stressed and more focused on the reason for the season this year, and I know this little book has a lot to do with it. It is like it's named, simple and short, so it doesn't take much time, but the after-effects have been lasting. The first time I read it, one day's devotional was not enough, so I continued to read through two days at a time. I love the pictures and the way it's laid out. It really adds to the words.
